From Cheshire To The Circuit
I grew up in the village next to Oulton Park in beautiful Cheshire, UK. From a young age, I was fascinated by engineering, especially electrical and software engineering. Motorsport was always close by, and the sound and atmosphere of the circuit left a lasting impression on me growing up.
After studying engineering at university, life took me in a different direction, and I accidentally became a chef. I spent the next 20 years working in professional kitchens and customer-facing hospitality environments, learning discipline, attention to detail, teamwork, and what it truly means to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
"But motorsport never left me."
Around the age of 40, I decided to follow the passion I had carried with me since childhood. I wanted to work around incredible cars, talented people, engineering, technology, and the excitement of motorsport. I wanted to build something that could bring that passion to more people.
As you can imagine, it is not always easy for a chef with a knowledge of resistors and C# to break into the motorsport world. But throughout my hospitality career, I never stopped building PCs, learning hardware, working with simulators, and immersing myself in motorsport technology.
The Forrest Motorsport Story
From early electronics and 20 years in hospitality to a public race room and the future of mobile motorsport — every chapter shaped what we do today.
Growing up in the village next to Oulton Park — electrical and software engineering, surrounded by motorsport.
Studied electronics engineering and computer technology before life took an unexpected turn.
Two decades in professional kitchens and customer-facing roles — discipline, detail, teamwork, exceptional experience.
Following a lifelong passion — combining engineering, simulators and motorsport technology.
Launched to bring motorsport, simulation and hospitality together under one roof.
Three successful years welcoming thousands of customers, hosting events and building a community.
Corporate events, custom simulator installations, driver support and B2B activations.
The future — mobile motorsport experiences, simulator innovation and APEX P1 events.
Forrest Motorsport was built from that passion and went on to operate a successful public race room for three years in the heart of Newbury. During that time, we welcomed thousands of customers, hosted corporate events, supported drivers, built simulators, and created a growing community around virtual motorsport.
That experience helped shape the next chapter of the business. Today, our focus has evolved beyond a traditional race room environment and towards the future of motorsport technology, mobile experiences, events, driver support, and simulator innovation.
